Hey, thanks for stopping by my page, my name is Brooke. I am really not that exciting and I am kind of awkward but I think it's great you decided to get to know the person behind the lens a little bit, especially if you are going to trust me with your most precious memories. first and foremost i love spending time with my family. In October of 2016 i gave birth to our beautiful little girl. Needless to say I have been taking precisely 8,719 photos of her each month since she was born. truthfully it has greatly improved my skills as a photographer as well, toddlers are fast! OCCASIONALLY i bake, something i really love but my waistline does not SO I TYPICALLY PAWN IT OFF ON OTHER PEOPLE. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and documenting our family vacationS, experiences AND EVERYDAY LIFE. I have been photographing lots of lovely people since 2013, although to be honest it took me a lot longer to feel comfortable calling myself a "professional photographer". However, now I do take pride in being able to tell people confidently that I am a PROFESSIONAL photographer.
Photography has been a part of my life from the very beginning, from the moment I entered the world, someone was there to record it! I'm sure that is true of many families these days, and obviously I was not the one taking the photos then; it was my immensely talented Grandpa Tabb. He was always there, capturing every memory and every milestone. Making me pose for photos (even when I was being a brat and didn't want to!) but I had that smile DOWN for when he had the camera up. I would always smile. I quite literally have stacks upon STACKS of old school photo albums and boxes of loose photos and negatives I still need to go through and organize - Grandpa's greatest gift to me. He always had a camera (or three!) around his neck and stopped at every old barn on the side of the road to take a picture.
So it was natural when I found myself being the one who always had a camera. I took it to school, every party, every event, every night out... everything I wanted to remember I wanted a picture of it. I considered photography as a career briefly in my very early twenties, and then dismissed it. I wish I hadn't been so scared to follow my PASSION at that time, and at times its honestly still scary, but better late than never I suppose! I learn something new during every session and editing process. I truly love what i do.
While I may not have been the one behind the lens for the early years, photography has always been there, always a constant in my life.
I want to be the constant in my clients' lives, my friends' and family's lives, in your life. The one you can't help but smile for, and giving you the greatest gift of all those memories that can quickly fade if not captured forever.
